We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel (internal position Junior Legal Counsel) to join our Legal team in our offices in Romania. Please note that the job offer is addressed to both legal counsellors and qualified lawyers.
By joining this role, you will advise on development projects at all stages, collaborating with other development lawyers across Europe. Initially, the focus will be on Romania, working closely with the Project Team and the Business. By taking on this role, you will be involved in development, acquisitions, project sales, finance, PPAs, administrative law, due diligence, disposals, and the drafting and negotiation of EPC and O&M contracts.
YOUR ROLE WILL ENCOMPASS
– ensuring deadlines set by the leading Legal Counsel in the country are met or, if necessary, extensions are agreed upon;
– following all processes and procedures for contract approvals and signing;
– understanding the business and legal framework within which the Romanian operations function;
– building trust with internal clients and other departments by navigating the organization effectively;
– collaborating with other lawyers to maintain a consistent approach and promote shared learning;
– adhering to and contributing to the development of legal systems, procedures, and best practices within the Legal Team and the business;
– monitoring contract deadlines and taking necessary actions to ensure compliance.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
– in-depth knowledge of a couple of the following fields Solar PV development, permitting, administrative law in energy, M&A, real estate, EPC, O&M, supply chain contracts, corporate law, project financing, and PPAs in Romania;
– 2+ years experience in the solar/renewable energy sector, either in Romania or internationally;
– member of a relevant professional body and be qualified lawyer in Romania;
– strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
– excellent negotiation and contract drafting abilities;
– effective communication and stakeholder management;
– high attention to detail and organizational skills;
– adaptability and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
