PURPOSE OF JOB
The Supply Chain (SC) Contracts Analyst is a member of the Europe and Africa Legal Support Center (LSC) Contracts team who under the supervision of the Supply Chain Contracts Team Lead assists with the review and negotiation of Supplier Contracts in support of operations in Geographies in Europe & Africa.

RELATIONSHIPS
Direct Report: Supply Chain Contracts Team Lead
Cross functional relationship: Maintains a close working relationship with Procurement & Sourcing, Tax, Finance and Product Lines.

YOUR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– reviews, negotiates and drafts Suppliers Contracts whenever necessary;
– supports the SC Team Lead in the drafting and development of Supplier agreements under supervision;
– drafts and communicates responses to exceptions raised by Suppliers in relation to tender documents and Requests for Quotes (RFQ);
– administers Supply Chain Contracts and ensures compliance with administrative procedures;
– promotes compliance with the relevant Contracts procedures and supported GeoMarket P&S procedures;
– ensures compliance with Schlumberger policies, standards, procedures, and contractual obligations;
– uploads and ensures the relevant contracts database is properly updated as contract changes and events occur. Manages and administers contract-related records in the relevant Contracts database such as ASL or Ariba;
– identifies and proposes improvements to existing contracting procedures;
– assists the GeoMarket Contracts Manager and P&S Manager as required;
– generates contracts reports on a regular basis to properly monitor active and expiring contracts;
– responsible for the maintenance of Supply Chain Contracts and tender files;
– participates in audits, presentations and workshops related to contracting standards, processes and/or reviews;
– collaborates with the Legal Department, as appropriate to ensure contractual risks are clearly identified and properly addressed in contractual provisions;
– assists and supports the Supply Chain Contract Team Lead and actively participates in all aspects of Post Award Contract Management including Self-Assessments including follow up of action items of Remedial Work Plans (RWPs).

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Law

COMPETENCY & SKILLS
– exceptional academic scores and/ or minimum 1 year work experience in Contracts/ Legal Departments or Law Firm capacity post Romanian Bar qualification;
– excellent command of English (written and spoken), proficiency in another language will be an advantage;
– competent in Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Excel;
– ability to communicate effectively and interact with, as well as support, effective partnerships with peers, subordinates and stake holders;
– must be Analytical and structured and be able to influence change;
– ability to work in and with multicultural teams;
– quality and Customer Service Focused;
– adaptable, disciplined and able to prioritize;
– detail oriented and highly organized, with discretion in handling confidential information and taking initiative;
– able to work independently with some supervision. Mature and able to work under pressure.

EXPERIENCE
– entry level for persons who are new to corporate work or Schlumberger;
– relevant work experience may compensate formal education.
