PETOŠEVIĆ is looking for a Patent Agent | Intellectual Property – CWB Limited, Bucharest, Romania (full-time).
ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Patent Agent to join our office in Romania- someone with strong legal expertise, substantial experience in intellectual property, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various tasks independently. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who thrives on taking ownership and delivering excellence.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
– preparing and filing European Patents validations with OSIM;
– translating patent documents between Romanian and English ;
– occasionally preparing, drafting, and filing patent applications with OSIM and the European Patent Office (EPO);
– occasionally conducting patent searches and analyzing scientific/technical documents to assess novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability of inventions;
– advising clients on patent prosecution, filing strategies, and Romanian/EU patent legislation;
– preparing reports and responses to office actions from OSIM or the (EPO);
– handling electronic case files, monitoring deadlines, and directly communicating with clients in English (emails, calls, meetings);
– running internal and external newsletters and announcements to keep stakeholders informed about IP developments.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
– University degree, preferably in Pharmacy, Chemistry or Biology;
– excellent command of English (both written and spoken);
– at least three years of experience in the field of Intellectual Property, specifically filing patent applications, conducting searches, communicating with the IP office and handling patent prosecution matters for international clients;
– detail-oriented with a high sense of responsibility;
– strong computer skills, at least in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
– patent Specialist without Agent’s license is accepted, but holding a license will be considered an advantage.
