YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO
– build and strengthen knowledge on individual and collective employment law across 16 countries (almost all located in the EU);
– work collaboratively with labour relations experts in different jurisdictions as well as collaborating with central HR strategic functions (Comp & Ben, Global Mobility, HR BPs etc.) as well as with the Compliance department;
– create new HR processes and guidelines applicable to the whole DB Cargo group;
– work in a very international and rather small team with a green field ahead were to learn and stablish new projects and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
– support in corporate HR- Compliance related tasks (investigations, audits, draft of internal directives);
– labour law advice in matters with an international component (M&A, restructuring, roll out of group wide programs/projects);
– coordinating external lawyers’ and “translating” complex legal matters/advice in a business-oriented manner for different stakeholders;
– European Works Council: ensuring smooth relations and making sure information flows in the right manner;
– knowledge transfer: being up to date and keeping relevant stakeholders informed about legal changes specially relating to EU regulated aspects;
– support compensation & benefits topics at employee level by providing expert advice through financial analysis, benchmarks, legal overviews etc.

REQUIRED PROFILE
– legal background (law degree or master’s in laws) is a mandatory requirement;
– ideally also economical background either acquired via studies or via professional experience;
– up to 4 years’ experience in employment law related topics acquired in an international law firm or in the HR department of a multinational company;
– English language (mandatory requirement), proficient competence (C1/C2 level);
– German language, ideally at B2 level or willingness to learn it;
– very good power point and excel skills.

SIMION & BACIU is looking for an Intellectual Property Counsel

We are expanding our enthusiastic team to welcome an Intellectual Property Counsel.

ROLE
Day-to-day responsibilities would include:
– performing trademark/designs availability searches so as to advise clients on availability;
– advising on issues of intellectual property, such as design and copyright, as well as trade marks;
– drawing up contracts and overseeing the trade mark registration process;
– managing and protecting intellectual property rights once trade marks and designs have been registered;
– taking appropriate action if clients rights are copied by ulterior applications or infringed. This may include drafting and sending warning letters, as well as representing clients in settlement negotiations;
– managing renewals of registered IP rights;
– representing clients in front of the Romanian IPO, WIPO and the EUIPO;
– coordinating instructions to foreign counsels assisting clients in other jurisdictions;
– advising and assisting on the transfer of IP rights;
– working closely with intellectual property and dispute resolution lawyers and intellectual property counsels from our larger team to ensure a 360 degree approach to the engagements assigned.

PROFILE
For us the suitable candidate for this role has:
– 3+ years of professional experience and is a member of the Romanian National Chamber of Industrial Property Attorneys (CNCPIR), licensed as a Trademark and Designs Attorney;
– strong command of the legislative and professional framework concerning intellectual property matters, specifically in the filed of trademarks, appropriate to the level of experience required;
– strong written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English;
– knowledge of another foreign language is a plus;
– solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
– attention to details and accuracy;
– team player mindset;
– ability to use time effectively;
– availability to travel.

DESCRIEREA JOBULUI
– gestionarea corespondenţei, primire, transmitere, arhivare, înregistrare,repartizare;
– gestionarea transmiterii documentelor prin curier;
– preluarea tuturor apelurilor telefonice şi mesajelor(e-mail, fax, telefon);
– realizarea activităţilor administrative şi de protocol;
– întocmirea, editarea diverselor documente;
– emiterea facturilor;
– menţinerea evidenţei contractelor cu clienţii şi a agendei de termene;
– menţinerea relaţiilor cu furnizorii şi clienţii.

CANDIDATUL IDEAL
– persoană dinamică, responsabilă, organizată, cu bune abilităţi de comunicare şi cu o prezenţă agreabilă;
– abilităţi dezvoltate în comunicarea cu clienţii şi membrii echipei;
– cunostiinte aprofundate de operare calculator, cunoaştere a programelor MS Office(Excel, Word);
– studii: licenţiat în ştiinţe juridice, preferabil consilier juridic;
– cunoaşterea limbii engleze la un nivel avansat;
– disponibilitate pentru un program de lucru prelungit, în funcţie de solicitările profesionale sau în proceduri urgente;
– experienţa în joburi similare este un plus;
– carnet de conducere categoria B.
