We are looking for an Associate Lawyer to strengthen our TMT Team in Technology, Privacy and Commercial matters in our Bucharest Office.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the TMT team at a top tier international law firm as part of the group’s continued growth. Our team is a trusted advisor to world’s leading companies in the telecommunications, media and technology sectors within the CEE/SEE region. We also support clients from a wide range of industries that are seeking to innovate, digitalize, and navigate the legal challenges of the digital economy.
LEGAL FIELD: Telecommunications, Media &Technology (TMT), Corporate, Data Protection
REQUIREMENTS FOR A TMT LAWYER POSITION
Education:
– degree from an accredited law school in Romania;
– certification as a qualified lawyer with a Bar Association in Romania;
– active membership in good standing with the Bar Association.
Experience:
– between 2-4 years of experience in legal field and in Technology, Media Telecom, Intellectual Property and/or Data Protection;
– understanding of technology‑driven business models and digital regulatory trends;
– familiarity with TMT‑specific legislation (e.g., electronic communications, audiovisual media, platform regulation, cybersecurity, e‑commerce, AI, etc.);
– knowledge of EU and Romanian data protection requirements.
Skills:
– strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
– excellent written and verbal communication skills;
– romanian and English legal drafting expertise;
– ability to interpret legal documents and regulations.
Personal Qualities:
– detail-oriented and capable of synthesizing large volumes of information;
– ability to work independently and as part of a team;
– adaptability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Language Skills:
Fluency in Romanian and English.
